Are you in the B2B industry and like to stay in the loop? Follow our robotips, and you're guaranteed a stream of interesting information (not only) about B2B sales & marketing.
B2B marketing differs from retail marketing in certain ways. (For example, it takes into account a different decision-making and purchasing process, different customer priorities, etc.)
But the goal of marketers remains the same: not to be boring, to stand out from the crowd, to differentiate, to attract attention.
But how to do that?
How to spice up your marketing strategy with something unconventional?
The answer is offered by Julie van der Weele, who wrote the article “5 Types of Content to Spice up Your B2B Marketing” for the Foleon platform blog.
It recommends peppering B2B marketing communications with the following types of content:
- User-generated content (USG): This is a great way to increase brand credibility and add authenticity (yes, it works in B2B, not just B2C).
- Downloadable templates: If you can save your potential clients time and make their lives easier with a handy template, do it.
- Interactive content: This can include interactive quizzes, checklists, interactive videos and animations, or calculators.
- Long and short videos: Try video tutorials, videos about your brand, product videos, user-generated content videos, or case study videos.
- Podcasts and webinars: Using these tools, you can present yourself as an expert on a given topic while also gaining important information about your customers.
